Farm Supervisor
Ashley Dupuis
Like most little girls do, Ashley fell in love with horses at a very young age. She began riding hunter/jumpers at the age of eight and has been involved with horses ever since. Always the animal lover, Ashley was involved in 4-H and also worked on a dairy farm for years. Ashley attended Michigan State University where her love for the Arabian breed truly began to develop. At MSU Ashley earned her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science with an Agribusiness Management Specialization and an emphasis on Equine Reproduction. While attending college she also worked at JLR Arabians. “My love and appreciation for this special breed really began to grow when I was fully involved with them at college. Both the herd at MSU and the horses at JLR showed me the depth and character unique to the Arabian breed.”Shortly after graduating from MSU, Ashley joined the crew at Silver Maple Farm. “I knew this would be a great opportunity for me grow and learn more about the Arabian horse and the industry as a whole! The love and support I received from my family and friends back in Michigan gave me the confidence to move across the country to California. I am so grateful for all of the encouragement they have provided!”“Henry and Christie have provided me a wonderful position at the farm that is challenging, exciting and allows me to gain greater knowledge and understanding of the straight Egyptian Arabians! Working with the stallions, mares, foals and staff at SMF has been a wonderful experience; I know the skills and knowledge I acquire here will benefit me for a lifetime!”
