2010 A Shai Update

Henry and I thought it was important to let all of you reading this know that Shai continues to be amazingly healthy even though he is quite the senior citizen at 26 years old. He looks amazing, more like a teenager than a horse in his later twenties. Just like humans some horses are better at aging, genetics at work I suppose. He goes out daily to a large paddock where he is able to survey the mares in the surrounding paddocks. On the way to his outing he looks around with a lively expression at all the mares and foals, ever interested. When walked back to his stall he pays no attention at all to the younger stallions that he passes,..he knows who is the King among the stallions. Ever gentle but spirited, he remains a favorite of anyone who has the opportunity to meet him. Shai is always a headliner when we have presentations and enjoys the role to the maximum!!! To date he has over 600 first generation progeny on every continent in the world with champions in over seventeen countries. There are over 700 second generation progeny and his prepotency for athleticism has been proven over and over again with his get being shown in many diverse disciplines. Henry and I love to hear from breeders all around the world who have Shai progeny or grand get; their stories always end in “I love my Shai daughter, granddaughter, stallion, grandson, gelding or great grand get”!
